Why and How to use Camino cards
Are you walking the Camino? This is for most of us a rare and precious opportunity to spend many days, perhaps weeks, with ourselves, our bodies, thoughts and values. It has taken planning and sacrifice to make it possible.
The intention behind these cards is to point you to some questions or contemplations that might help you experience more during the Camino and perhaps gain insights on what you’d like more of in your life.
Each morning, pick one card. Read the practice. Does it seem interesting to you? Is this your card for today? If you don’t find it interesting you can put it back and choose a new card. But pause for a moment to feel into why you want to put the card back. Is it because the practice asks you to look or act outside of your habitual patterns? Would you be willing to try it as an experiment?
If at lunchtime you feel ready for another card, pick one.
Of course you can also use the cards as a normal deck of playing cards.
¡Buen Camino!

Each pack has 13 cards in each suit plus two jokers, in standard poker size (2.5 x 3.5 inches, 64 x 89 mm). Each card has a unique practice and illustration. Dedication
These cards are dedicated to everyone who has ever walked The Camino, especially Earlene Weston. Earlene gave us our first spark of what this meaningful pilgrimage has to offer and inspired us to experience it for ourselves. We’re also grateful to Eileen and Geri who were our companions on the walk when we did most of the design work for these cards.
About us
We have been married for more than 10 years.
We care more about experiences than material things. When walking the Camino, we were really impacted by how we were part of a thousand-year tradtion. We want people to live fuller lives, be kinder to each other, and take care of the environment. We hope people will still be walking the Camino one thousand years from now.
We are from two different continents and live in a country neither of us were born in. We have friends in dozens of countries. We appreciate cultural differences, and also how at some level we are all the same.
We made our third acquaintance with the Camino and its pilgrims in July 2022.
We are both coaches. We offer Life coaching through Renée Ryerson Coaching and Leadership coaching, training and organizational consulting through Beyond Either Or.
